Role Summary
Interior Sensing Feature Development Team
Veoneer is a fast growing, technology driven company looking for energetic, passionate people to join our growing team! This role will encompass work on a variety of projects, helping build algorithms to solve some of the most interesting challenges on driver safety.
You will work with advanced development engineering teams and lead the development of algorithms and models on in-house algorithms. Safety is our focus. We develop algorithms and technology to prevent accidents and minimize occupant injuries and deaths.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop radar signal processing algorithms and implementation in MATLAB/embedded C
- Perform data exploration of sensor data to solve novel problems
- Research and design new algorithms to improve signal processing
- Test data analysis and design. Verify and ensure that the design works in the hardware.
- Participate in the synchronization of HW, SW and radar signal processing teams to ensure consistency of designs
- Support radar system performance analysis and modeling that includes antennae, receiver, transmitter, waveform, signal processing, tracking, environmental effects
- Support definition of radar system architectural components, interfaces, requirements with allocation to components, functions and expected behaviors
- Support new feature requirements analysis, requirements allocation, traceability, verification methods
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- A BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Masters with coursework in signal processing preferred.
- Advanced embedded C programming experience
- Advanced MATLAB skills
- Experience with signal processing, preferably radar signal processing
- Advanced math skills and ability to develop concept from physics principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience/knowledge in software development on embedded platforms
- Experience with intensive algorithm development
- Experience with Git, Gitlab, Jira, Agile, and Codebeamer
- Previous experience in a similar position – min 3 years
Preferred qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in radar signal processing
- Experience in radar system design (link budget, sensitivity analysis, FMCW, pulse-Doppler processing)
- Knowledge of antenna and waveform design (phased array, receiver/exciter designs – patterns, receiver chain analysis)
