We are seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager – Advanced Packaging in Chandler, Arizona for shift 6: from 6:00 PM – 6:18 AM | Alternating 3-Day (Wed–Fri) and 4-Day (Wed–Sat) Work Weeks
Intel's Advanced Packaging Technology Development: Substrate and Wafer Assembly (APTDSWA) organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead a high-performing team of technicians in a state-of-the-art substrate packaging manufacturing environment. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving safety, quality, production efficiency, and operational excellence across shift operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of technicians responsible for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and excursion response across shift operations
Develop and implement resource plans for corrective and preventive maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability and stability
Oversee tool qualification and capability building to support operational readiness
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving methodologies including Lean Manufacturing, MBPS, and Six Sigma to enhance safety, quality, cost, and output metrics
Maintain a strong, visible presence on the manufacturing floor to monitor operations, facilitate effective execution, and establish consistent standards across all shifts
Establish, evaluate, and execute training plans to develop technician skills aligned with operational requirements
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and optimize performance
Manage shift schedules including workstation assignments, rotations, and staffing requests to align with production needs

Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM field (Engineering preferred), with 3+ years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree in STEM with 2+ years of relevant experience. Relevant experience for this position will be:
- Understand and troubleshoot complex manufacturing equipment.
- Developing, managing, and executing training plans for technical teams.
- Structured problem-solving methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, MBPS, or Six Sigma.
- Lead and work within high-performing teams.
- Maintain a strong, visible presence on the manufacturing floor and work compressed work-week schedules as needed.
