(AMT, Inc.) is hiring an Administrative Assistant in the Transportation sector to support Civil Rights Compliance on projects throughout the VDOT Salem District and surrounding areas. Responsibilities
- Provide assistance in implementing VDOT Salem District Civil Rights Programs
- Reviews construction files to monitor routine submittals of EEO/DBE program documentation for accuracy and completion.
- Maintains data for the preparation of compliance review schedules
- Independently prepares special reports (C-28, C-57, Labor Compliance Reports, C-63, etc).
- Attends preconstruction meetings and other meetings to promote Civil Rights Program requirements.
- Reviews and enters pertinent information into the Civil Rights Labor Management System and other data collection systems as needed.
- Monitors DBE Contract Compliance Program for compliance and prepares compliance review reports
- Routinely visits project sites and reviews documentation submitted by contractors
- Reviews contract provisions and predetermined wage rates for contract compliance
Qualifications
- Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Fluent in spoken and written English language
- Preferred:
- Demonstrated experience in similar roles / responsibilities
- Demonstrated skill with Microsoft Office and other computer program software
- Functional computer usage including familiarity with Microsoft Office suite software
- Multi-task and manage duties in a professional, timely and accurate manner
- Ability to effectively communicate with the agency and contractor personnel and the general public
- Maintain detailed records
