Palo Alto Networks is scaling its world-class strategy organization and looking for its next Strategy leader in the area of Network security.
The Palo Alto Networks Strategy function is a focused team that works on our most mission-critical business challenges to drive and support our industry-leading growth. As a Principal, NetSec Strategy your efforts will directly impact the overall strategy and success of a world-leading cybersecurity business. You will collaborate on complex business and technology problems that are top-of-mind for our executives. You possess a unique blend of business insight, business strategy experience, big-picture thinking, influencing skills and ability to collaborate with a large number of constituents within Palo Alto Networks.
Your Impact
- Work closely with our Business and GTM leaders to develop and architect our cohesive GTM strategy and ongoing transformation - This involves proactively identifying, prioritizing and scoping GTM initiatives across direct sales, ecosystems/RTMs & shared services
- Combine your core strategy toolkit (framing/structure, hypothesis-driven approach, data-driven insight, best practices, etc.) with business judgment to directly lead and deliver major GTM initiatives
- Act as an advisor and sounding board for our senior GTM leaders as they consider GTM acceleration efforts, strategic org choices or any other strategically critical decisions
- Work x-functionally with other strategy teams, business operations, finance, IT, and other groups to see efforts through to operationalization and the actual outcomes
- Drive change across the organization and be willing to wear multiple hats (strategy development, project management and execution) to do it what it takes to “move the needle”
- Be a Player-Coach that raises everyone’s capabilities around you
Qualifications
Your Experience
- MBA graduate from a top-tier B- school or similar academic credentials or “direct promote” in Consulting
- Required direct product strategy experience in-top-tier consulting at the Principal / Associate Partner level (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, etc.) or at top-tier Enterprise tech companies
- Must have deep understanding of typical enterprise tech products, pricing and business models within Networking or Cyber Security markets
- A track record of consistently developing and executing Product Strategies all the way from defining where to play, what to build, how to build and NPI process
- Leadership ability with experience interfacing with Product and Engineering is a must
- Executive presence and ability to engage with senior leadership in a constructive and collaborative manner and experience driving decisions and outcomes through influence
- Effective Program Management skills, with demonstrated ability to lead complex strategic initiatives
