SENIOR JIRA BUSINESS ANALYST I
Based onsite at Rocket Lab's Headquarters in Long Beach, CA, the Senior Jira Business Analyst I is responsible for supporting Jira and Confluence issue tracking and collaboration software applications.
This role will focus on providing Level II and Level III support, comprising of mission-critical work focused on enhancement requests and major configuration changes. The right candidate will bring a strong foundation in the administration of Atlassian products, background in the design of elegant and efficient solutions, and project management skills necessary to implement them.
You will support the Sr Atlassian Jira Administrator within the Enterprise Information Systems team.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
- Design and implement custom workflows, fields, and automation to optimize processes and support business needs.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement new features or improvements in Jira.
- Implement technical and business solutions within the Atlassian platform.
- Create and maintain system documentation and training materials.
YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years' experience in Jira administration, in either Cloud or Data Center environments and a bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience (9+ years total work experience).
- Deep knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks.
- Proven understanding of ITSM concepts.
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
- Familiarity with REST APIs, Linux server administration, or Groovy scripting.
- Experience supporting operations teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
- Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing.
- Must be physically able to commute to buildings
- Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise.
Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
