We are looking to staff two Sr. Program Quality Leads. Our Patriot Sr. Program Quality Leads (PQLs) in Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS), will support U.S. and/or foreign programs within the BMC4I product line portfolio at our Andover, MA location. Responsibilities include promoting and executing with a meaningful strong quality mindset, practices, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. This individual will assist in implementation of Mission Area strategic quality improvements across contracts.

These are on-site positions.

The successful candidate will proactively engage with the product line and work in partnership with Program Leadership, Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Operations and the Quality team. These roles will work to ensure the effective implementation of Quality and Mission Assurance requirements of the programs, and occasionally interface with U.S. Government Customers, Foreign Customers, and Suppliers.  In this role they will primarily support proactive engagement across our factories and suppliers that support the Global Patriot portfolio, implement quality processes to reduce overall product lifecycle cost and risk.

What You Will Do

  • Interface with the program quality teams, programs, customers, and supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), supporting technical quality and financial performance, and compliance to Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Closely interface with external and internal customers and key partners to establish effective relationships.
  • Must have the ability to manage and impact across multiple levels of stakeholders, as it is vital to the success of this role.
  • Responsible for quality of delivered products and services to our customers, stakeholders of quality risks, uncertainties and opportunities, key team members in resolution of customer expectations and relationships related to Mission Assurance and Quality.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategic and tactical Mission Assurance plans that will closely affect the programs’ implementation and influence.
  • Responsible for improving processes or systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation skills. Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, and information is typically difficult to obtain.
  • Assuring inclusion of quality requirements, planning, and consistency for program proposals and subsequent management of the quality budget.
  • Monitor / lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
  • Generation of new Cost of Quality (CoQ) projects to reduce costs on the program.
  • Support implementation of APQP as applicable.

Qualification You Must Have

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of engineering experience.
  • Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Working experience with performance to cost, schedule, and technical performance including Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value).
  • Working experience in providing technical program support for manufacturing and/or design processes.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Six Sigma, Lean, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification.
  • Experience with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) or similar gate management process.
  • Experience in other functional area such as engineering, supplier engineering, or operations.
