Job Title: Blackstone Credit - Asset Based Finance – Senior Associate, Structured Finance
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the team to perform due diligence on prospective investments within the credit space, with a focus on Structured Credit.
- Meet with potential borrowers and their teams, industry/strategy research, and quantitative analysis.
- Model and evaluate various types of deal structures. Structure and negotiate deal term sheets.
- Review credit agreements and other loan documentation.
- Work with other members of the Investment Team to source, diligence, and underwrite investment opportunities, leveraging Blackstone’s various groups where appropriate.
- Draft and present memorandums for Investment Committees.
- Monitor existing investments including tracking key risks/mitigants and continuously challenging the validity of the investment thesis.
- Thinking creatively about ways to improve the team’s existing processes.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 1.5 years of experience: underwriting, conducting due diligence, and executing asset-backed transactions in the United States, specifically across consumer credit sectors (e.g., credit card, unsecured consumer, home improvement, and small business).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience underwriting, conducting due diligence, and executing asset-backed transactions in Australia and the broader Asia Pacific region.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience using Intex software tools to analyze asset-backed transactions.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience using Bloomberg software tools to analyze asset-backed transactions.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience working with Rating Agencies and their framework/methodology to structure asset-backed transactions that optimizes for client and investor feedback.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience negotiating deal term sheets and legal documentation across asset backed transactions (e.g. warehouse, loan, term securitization structures).
- Minimum of 6 years of experience drafting and presenting deal approval/credit memorandums to internal investment committees; pitching asset-backed transactions to potential borrowers and investors.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience using Microsoft Excel to build detailed cash flow models to analyze asset-backed transactions
- Minimum of 6 years of experience using Microsoft PowerPoint to develop internal and external presentation materials.

Expected annual base salary range:
