Position Overview:

Sutter Medical Foundation (SMF) is a not-for-profit organization supporting the quality medical services provided by Sutter Medical Group and Sutter North Medical Group and a clinically integrated network (Sutter Physicians Alliance, also known as SPA), which includes Sutter Independent Physicians.

In accordance with established APPIC and Houston Conference/ABCN guidelines, this pediatric post-doctoral fellowship will be the equivalent of two full years (24 months) of education and training in clinical neuropsychology and related subject matter. Provides assessment, diagnostic, and disposition planning services for patients with medical and developmental disorders resulting in emerging skills and potential for independence in autonomous decision making, assessment, disposition planning, knowledge of evidence based interventions, and inter/intra community resource coordination. The fellow will work as a integral part of a multi- and intra-disciplinary team (s) with a culturally and socioeconomically diverse patient population.

EDUCATION:

• Doctorate: psychology

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years recent relevant experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of human development, psychological treatment, and intervention modalities with children, adolescents and adults.
• Knowledge of psychosocial factors relevant to mental health, such as personality, human growth and development; interpersonal relationships; group process; family dynamics; community integration and socioeconomic resource provisions, including the relevance of these factors for personal change in treatment.
• Knowledge of and adherence to American Psychological Association ethical standards.
• Knowledge of the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, and psychotherapeutic modalities and interventions, including psychotropic medications.
• Ability to effectively work with a wide range of psychiatric treatment problems of children, adolescents, adults and their families.
• Ability to cooperatively work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Ability to make sound clinical decisions regarding assessing patient's acuity and appropriate dispositions.

Pay Range is $34.50 to $34.50 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
