SUMMARY STATEMENT/POSITION OVERVIEW

The AP Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all company accounts payable functions. They oversee the processing of vendor invoices, the preparation of payments, the reconciliation of accounts, and the management of queries from both internal and external parties.
Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the accounts payable process, is detail-oriented with a high commitment to accuracy and consistency and can effectively develop and lead a small team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBLITIES - AP Manager

• Managing the accounts payable team, accounts payable function.
• Set objectives for the accounts payable team that align with the accounting department’s goals.
• Manages timely processing of Vendor invoices.
• Ensure timely processing of all Check Disbursements, with controls & procedures in place that align with accounting policies.
• Maintains positive vendor relations.
• Manages monthly closing of financial records and postings of month end information; ensure accuracy of financial information
• Prepares Annual, Quarter, Monthly and Weekly budget and forecast data as required.
• Prepares year end Audit papers as requested by the accounting department.
SPECIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATIONS - AP Manager
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5-7 years minimum AP manager work experience
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, written and oral communication skills
• SAP Experience required
