Strategic Wholesale Broker Leader
Reporting to the Head of Wholesale and Alternative Channels Distribution, the Strategic Broker Leader will with work with the Core Business Units and Core Functions in developing AIG’s distribution strategy that prioritize areas of growth and retention by Product and Segment with a focus on:
Lexington and dual distribution products
Strategic broker relationships
New business production
Tasked with driving AIG’s financial results and managing assigned wholesale broker at the U.S. company level, the Strategic Broker Leader will create clear goals that are defined.
How you will make an impact
Develop quantitative and qualitative KPI’s to measure success
Promote profitable growth and/or retention and expand desired mix of business,
Ensure AIG is deriving value and results out of any consulting or data services purchased from wholesale broker,
Support execution of distribution initiatives at a national and local level
Develop and facilitate relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Support and oversee strategic agreement in place with wholesale broker (where appropriate). In addition, provide annual evaluation of its effectiveness and impact corporately and locally.
Develop and communicate with the Product leadership on the annual plans with wholesale brokers
Establish quarterly meetings with broker partners to review results and adjust strategies where needed
Develop national execution strategies of growth products with AIG Products leaders
Disseminating broker data that will help the Underwriting Teams understand the broker landscape in their region and target offices and producers efficiently
Ensure absolute connectivity with agreements and strategy at the corporate level and with the field offices (of AIG and the Broker)
Educate the Underwriting teams about the key personnel of the Broker’s offices in their respective geographies
Actively contributing to select distribution focused projects designed to improve the way we do business or enhance our relationships with brokers
Working with the Wholesale Distribution Leader to analyze broker reports, data and portfolio information to help assess the opportunity and measure our success over time.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion learning and be looking to take on challenges as well as for innovating and leading change. Beyond that, the successful candidate will possess proven experience in scaling multi-channel, complex organizations.
In addition, the candidate will have a proven track record as an effective change agent.
The candidate will possess strong business acumen, process and operations orientation, coupled with change-leadership skills to unify teams around common objectives and drive sustainable change.
At least seven years’ experience in broker and carrier relationships
Mobility
Travel to U.S. locations (30-40%)
For positions based in Illinois, the base salary range is $100,000-$130,000 and for positions based in NYC, the base salary range is $105,000-$128,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
