Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Accountant & AP Manager to join our finance team. This role is responsible for financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, month-end close, budgeting, and compliance, while also managing accounts payable functions, vendor relations, and payment processing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GAAP, financial analysis, and process improvement, with the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure accurate financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

• Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  

• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  

• Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
  

• Assist in budget preparation and cash forecasting, collaborating with the finance team.
  

• Provide audit support, coordinating external audits and preparing necessary documentation.
  

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, accounting principles, and applicable regulations.
  

• Assist in tax preparation and compliance activities, working closely with tax professionals.
  

Accounts Payable & Vendor Management:

• Review and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies.
  

• Process vendor payments via checks, ACH, and other methods, ensuring timely payments.
  

• Maintain positive vendor relationships, resolving discrepancies and addressing payment inquiries.
  

• Oversee the coding and categorization of invoices and expenses accurately for proper allocation.
  

• Manage the invoice approval process, working with department heads and managers.
  

• Reconcile supplier statements, ensuring accounts are accurate and up to date.
  

• Prepare and submit expense reports for employee reimbursements.
  

Process Improvement & Compliance:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting and accounts payable operations.
  

• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial and AP records, ensuring proper documentation.
  

• Collaborate with procurement, sales, and operations teams to provide financial guidance.
  

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and financial regulations.
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
  

• 5+ years of experience in accounting and accounts payable, preferably in a senior or leadership role.
  

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
  

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  

• Experience with month-end close processes, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
