 Who We Need

The production Technician provide quality services to enhance individuals with disabilities live an everyday lifestyle. Instruct individuals on procedure of assigned work. Achieve production quotas within specified time periods. Seek operations approval on various stages of work completion from authorized supervisor. Assist in shipping/receiving or other shop areas as required. Palletize outgoing work and prepare packing slips. Deal directly with businesses and problem solve as necessary. Maintain needed contract supplies in the workshops. Be aware of the individual’s physical restrictions and medical concerns. Possess ability to operate an industrial forklift; and a 24 foot truck with a lift gate.  BHS Employees adhere to all HIPAA and ACA Code of Ethics

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires any combination of training, education, and experience listed below:
  • Prefer a high school diploma or GED (General Equivalency Diploma).
  • Requires any combination of training, education, and/or experience equal to one year experience in production/warehouse type work.
  • Satisfactory work record as determined by the Human Resources Department
  •  Successful completion of Copa’s training program to the satisfaction of ERS/agency requirements.
  • Related experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
  •  Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or other background checks as needed.
  • Ability to meet Copa’s driver authorized driving requirements.
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
JOB SUMMARY (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
  • Ensure the maintenance of departmental operations to achieve compliance with contract requirements, accreditation, licensing and monitoring standards, agency procedures, Federal/State/Local regulations and all other licensing/regulatory agencies as directed.
  • Adhere to current training requirements and applicable accreditation and licensing/regulatory standards and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Health Information Technology for Economic Clinical Health (HITECH) requirements.
  • Develop rehabilitation plans that fit individuals aptitudes, educational levels, physical abilities, and career goals;
  • Seek operations approval on various stages of work completion from authorized supervisor.
  • Monitor and record individuals progress to ensure that goals and objectives are met;
  • Confer with individuals
