About the role

ICF’s Digital Modernization Division is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven department, seeking a Software Asset Management Analyst to implement best-practice ITSM asset management processes for a variety of Federal clients, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform the Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst role within the IT Service Management (ITSM)/ITIL task area.

  • Liaise with Federal leads, ITSM Process Manager and SAM Process Manager:

    • To contribute to the development and execution of a roadmap to improve asset management processes

    • To update records and report on software license compliance based on software license right-to-use (RTU), software license agreements, maintenance agreements, and software installations

    • To review software compliance measures based on existing licensing agreements and implement processes to improve compliance

    • To create and modify IT software asset records and associated contract records in the appropriate software repository

    • To process software-related requests (new requests, changes, upgrades, etc.)

  • Assist with preparing and managing software asset management tools and processes

  • Coordinate key interfaces between the software asset management process and other processes, in particular configuration management, change management, and knowledge management.

  • Understand the current utilization and installation of licenses.

  • Ensure Ownership of the assets and all data relating to the software assets is available when required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years of experience with software asset management, e.g., developing and implementing asset management plans

  • 2+ years of experience implementing ITIL processes across a variety of platforms and cloud environments

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.

  • US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to federal contract requirements

  • Ability to obtain U.S. government public trust clearance

  • MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting U.S. Government Federal Health programs and projects is preferable

  • ITIL Foundation certification
