Responsibilities
Within Peraton’s Space and Intel sector, there is an immediate need for a cleared Lead Solution Architect (LSA) to support growth opportunities within the US Intelligence Community. This is a hybrid work position, with remote work and at Peraton locations in Chantilly and Herndon, Virginia plus the flexibility to travel to locations to support classified and non-classified solution activities. As an LSA, you will be responsible for leading the design of technical innovative and cost-effective mission relevant solutions for inclusion in submitted government proposals. Solution components could include enterprise architecture, network operations, systems engineering, cyber security, data analytics / analysis, on premise and off premises cloud applications, and specialized staffing infrastructure solutions that address the operational and technology needs of our customers while helping to grow our business. Emphasis for this position is knowledge of network operations and systems architecture of government agencies within the Intelligence Community (IC).
Key Responsibilities:
- The LSA is responsible for leading teams of solution professionals and technical subject matter experts in the development of integrated, cost-effective solutions for inclusion in proposal responses that meet the customer’s requirements and maximize Peraton’s competitive advantage.
- The LSA leads the technical solution development, participates in the competitive costing, and business case alignment of Peraton solutions to the Government client’s proposal requirements.
- The LSA oversees the creation and the documentation of the technical solution, plus participates in the development of the costing of the solution for insertion into a proposal response to a government client. The ability to collaborate effectively with the appropriate Peraton business leaders and their teams to design the solution and agree on key solution costing parameters activities is key.
- The LSA will work closely with business development, delivery accounts and corporate offerings teams to determine the overall technical solution strategy and approach to align to the customer’s objectives and requirements, including merging industry point of view with broad technical knowledge and mission understanding to generate value propositions and approaches to solve Government customer challenges.
- The LSA establishes strong relationships with Peraton partners to drive high quality solutions and compelling value propositions.
- The LSA confidently articulates all aspects of the technical and management solution during governance reviews with senior Peraton management, identifying and evaluating solution risks and creating strategies and plans to mitigate those risks.
Qualifications
Required:
- Requires 8+ years with BS/BA or 6+ years with MS/MA. Additional experience in lieu of degree considered.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively independently and in team settings to include close collaboration with technical subject matter experts, program managers, proposal and capture managers, and business development teams to determine and solution to customer requirements in complex and often ambiguous environments.
- Experience in developing successful technical enterprise IT solutions for large, complex opportunities and proposal submissions for US Government customers.
- 5+ years of Network, IT Operations or Enterprise Architecture experience working within a specific US Government IC agency (for example: CIA Directorate of Digital Innovation (DDI/ITE).
- Active US Government Top Secret with SCI eligibility Security Clearance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge across a broad range of mission focused enterprise IT technology services and solutions, coupled with a strong customer focus and Intelligence Community understanding.
- Understanding of Operational environments and how to position Peraton to deliver end-to-end mission value to program sponsors.
- Demonstrated understanding of unique needs of Enterprise support vs. Mission support.
- Ability to clearly translate the benefits of our approach to specific levels of seniority within the sponsor teams (strategic vs. tactical).
- Ability to be at Peraton Northern Virginia locations between 9 am and 5pm eastern time, if warranted, to support classified proposal deliverables.
