We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to support our team at Tarkett Sports Construction Central, a trusted partner in design-build and sports construction. They support big ideas from start to finish, delivering concept, construction, and ongoing care for track, field and courts. The Construction Project Manager will work on high-value construction projects across the Tarkett Sports portfolio and will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects while ensuring they meet objectives, stay within budget, and are completed on time.
You will be working from Lee’s Summit, MO office, and reporting to The Director of Project Management.

What you’ll do:
- Build and maintain professional relationships with management, staff, clients, subcontractors, vendors, owners, and architects. Supporting construction projects (Sports facility construction including civil and post tension concrete construction) valued at $5M+.
- Interpret proposals and develop work plans for timely, on-budget project delivery
- Research, pre-qualify, and procure required professional services (geotechnical, civil, architectural)
- Prepare, monitor, and manage construction schedules, budgets, and designs
- Develop delivery schedules with input from Field Project Manager and Superintendent
- Review and present budgets and schedules for each project phase
- Serve as Tarkett Sports Construction Central point of contact during construction, coordinating with clients/owners on plans, status, and delivery
- Lead client meetings (preconstruction, weekly updates, walkthroughs, closeouts)
- Coordinate purchase orders, subcontracts, and owner agreements with Pre-Construction Manager
- Confirm product selections and specifications with Sales, Estimator, and field leadership
- Conduct daily reviews of budget, schedule, and scope for active projects
- Coordinate site employees, equipment, and materials to meet design requirements
- Provide project-specific planning and crew training for execution methods
- Travel to and between the job sites as needed for development of plans, relationships, and overall project design needs (90% in office and 10% in field Mid-West area)
What you need for success:
- 5+ years of construction (civil and post-tension concrete construction) project management experience, with proven leadership on projects exceeding $5 million in value.
- Experience in Sports facility construction is a plus.
- Expertise in planning, coordinating, and executing construction tasks in line with project specifications, timelines, and budgets; skilled at troubleshooting issues through a team-focused approach.
- Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with legal requirements
- Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to construction to ensure that all work complies with legal standards.
- Proficiency with Procore is required.
- ASBA or PTI certification is preferred.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills effectively to interact with team members, vendors, contractors and owners.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to continuous improvement.
- Attention to detail to monitor work quality and ensure that it meets project specifications, and address any deficiencies promptly
