Overview

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Sr Sales Operations Specialist to join our Sales team in San Jose, California. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.  

  

As a Sr Sales Operations Specialist, the candidate will be reporting to the Sr Global Sales Operations Manager and is a Full -Time position. The Sr Sales Operations Specialist is a key player and is responsible for driving the order management and processing of customer contractual obligations. The Sr Sales Operations Specialist will ensure customer orders are processed in an efficient and timely manner; in compliance with the company requirements and quality policy; and ensure consistency in providing a high-level customer transaction experience. As a key partner, the specialist will be responsible to maintain effective communication and engagement across the local and global teams, develop a deep understanding of Rambus’s sales operations activities and serve as a subject matter expert in cross-functional process improvements, system enhancements/implementation and the other major corporate initiatives.  This position is a prime opportunity for an experienced order management professional looking to contribute within a high-tech industry leader. 

 

Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for the majority of our office-based roles. We encourage employees to spend an average of at least three days per week working onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.  

Responsibilities

Sales Operations Subject Matter Expert - 

  • Support the day-to-day processing of customer sales orders within the relevant business systems to ensure completeness and accuracy. 
  • Review customer contract documentation for completeness and accuracy to support the backlog and billing transactions as it relates to the order to cash process. 
  • Partner with Business Units, Sales Account Managers, Project Managers, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, and other functional groups to ensure accurate collection of requirements necessary to optimize orders management processing and minimize errors in backlog, billing. 
  • Proactively communicate status, issues, risks to key stakeholders and facilitating timely discussion and resolution. 
  • Work in line with Rambus’s policies and practices, ensuring the Sales Operations team adheres to compliance requirements as applicable. 
  • Support internal audit and control procedures to ensure SOX compliance. 
  • Participate in the development and improvement of business processes, SOPs and business requirements. 
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders. 
  • Perform month, quarter and year-end reconciliation and reporting activities as assigned. 
  • Participate in related system testing and integration projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned. 
  • Managing MIC Monthly Sell Through Forecast. 
  • Managing Distribution POS and Inventory Reports. 
  • Managing Customers Survey and Setup. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance or related Business degree. 
  • 3+ years relevant experience in a Sales Operations, Order Management, Project Management or Business Operations role in the Semiconductor or other high-tech industry highly desired. 
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with experience navigating in ambiguous environments. 
  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across the organization and influence change across business functions. 
  • Detail oriented and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously. 
  • Familiarity with the Order to Cash process, SOX Compliance and ISO9001 2015 a plus. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and across multiple time zones to support month and quarter end activities. 
  • Self-motivated, quick learner with the ability to work independently. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Technical acumen, particularly in the use of MS D365, SharePoint, Salesforce, ServiceNow, MS Office Sute (Excel, MS Office, PowerPoint).
