WeCare Centers at Foltsbrook Care Center is actively seeking motivated, part-time, Dietary Aide for our community in Herkimer, NY. Our Dietary Aide assists in the kitchen area prior to, during, and after meals are served to residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas.
• Maintain equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
• Prepares meals, snacks, and nourishments in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as the facility standards and procedures.
• Serves meals that are palatable, appetizing in appearance, garnished and at proper temperature on a timely basis.
• Serves food from steam table and or transport food delivery carts to the resident areas.
• Honors residents food likes, dislikes per tray ticket within prescribed diet.
• Ensures food supplies for the next day production is available.
• Assists cooks in preparing meals as directed.
• Uses proper hand washing techniques and safety procedures.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

•  Ability to meet all health compliance and competency requirements
•  Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
•  Minimum 1 year food service experience
