The Role
Fidelity’s Asset Management Technology (AMT) organization is seeking a leader to support agile portfolio strategy practices and tools adoption. You will join the Technology Strategy Enablement and Programs team, where we collaborate with Agile Coaches, Communications and Business Engagement teams. We are a small and impactful team that is uniquely positioned to support the organization's leaders and their teams!
The Team
The Strategy Enablement (SE) team supports the organization in their adoption of enterprise systems of record and helps articulate the benefit of making work visible. Each SE lead is a strategic partner to one/more Domain leader(s) in the organization. As members of their respective extended leadership team(s), we are accountable for oversight and strategic alignment of all value-delivery within each Domain. We support the development of Asset Management’s Technology Operating Plan, where we provide insights into the Domain(s) we support, collaborating closely with HR, Finance, and Strategy & Planning teams. We work closely with Domain Leaders and Product Area Leaders in their daily, weekly, monthly planning and data management events. The organization follows Scrum@Scale scaling framework and this team is instrumental in identifying the need/opportunity for scaled scrum events and collaboration opportunities with our Agile Coaches and Data Analysis and Insights team. In partnership with HR and Finance, we coordinate workforce management.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in relevant field
- Overall experience of 7-10 years
- Agile delivery and leadership experience
- Product management and problem-solving capabilities
- Expertise in data analysis and agile tools
- Leadership experience with growth mindset
- You are strategic in your approach and can analyze and propose solutions to complex problems
- Intellectually curious and model continuous learning, mentoring and coaching
- Relationship builder who uses communication and facilitation skills to be a trusted partner
- Adaptable in a changing landscape while staying focused on the outcome
- An outstanding teammate who engages with respect, integrity, and intellectual curiosity; you enjoy being a change agent.
- Storyteller that can paint a picture for leaders and articulate the value of making work visible and connections clear
- Technologically savvy and engineering experience is preferred but not required
The Value You Deliver
- Develop Asset Management’s Product Governance and Operations practices
- Support the evolution of the Enablement Office in AMT, conceptualizing and helping build new practices to simplify ‘the way we work’
- Understand and articulate clearly the vision and strategy behind key results in Asset Management, and are often asked to provide these for senior management updates
- Engage with your peers in other Fidelity Business Units, to bring takeaways back to your group, to share ‘wins’ or standard processes with the team, or to represent your BU in a cross-Fidelity forums
