Description
Mercy Home for Children is recruiting for two Household Managers for the Brooklyn Residential Programs assisting the Residence Manager in providing care and guidance to the individuals that live in our Residential Program. You will be responsible for representing the agency in a positive light abiding by our mission and core values. We are hiring for a FT 35 hours per week & PT 21 hours (Thursday - Saturday) Household Managers. We are shining a spotlight on these positions and hosting a virtual job fair on Friday, October 11th. Position Responsibilities:
· Ensure that adequate, appropriate and seasonal clothing is available for each individual in the residence.
· Review Res Hab Plans to assure billing compliance standards.
· Ensure that communication log is being used and read by staff; convey information from the log to management and/or administration.
· Oversee purchasing supplies, food, clothing and inventories of the individuals.
· Responsible for managing/safeguarding monies delegated to the individuals.
· Responsible to oversee and safeguard food stamp card in accordance with agency procedure.
· Ensure that goal/res hab/medical data is collected daily.
· Ensure that residents are given consistent and ample opportunities to participate in household chores and the maintenance of personal belongings.
· Transport and accompany residents to clinic appointments, as necessary.
· Assist direct support professionals in supporting and supervising residents.
· Participate as a member of the residential management team.
· Act in a supervisory capacity in the absence of Residence Manager, Assistant Manager.
· Assist with day to day scheduling in conjunction with Resident Management to assure consistency of care of individuals.
· Attend and participate in scheduled training classes, meetings and conferences.
· Implement daily schedules, including all routines and life skills activities as directed by supervisor or written in the plan.
· Encourage self-advocacy or to advocate as needed for the individuals.
· Coordinate, schedule and conduct fire drills in conjunction with management team.
Perform other duties as assigned by the program.

Requirements
Minimum 2 years experience working with the intellectually disabled population in a residential setting.
High School Diploma/GED, Associates Degree Preferred. This is a great role for DSP to grow into a leadership role.
Demonstrated leadership skills; excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
Valid and Unrestricted NYS Driver’s License.
The work schedule does requires flexibility to handle off hour emergencies that may arise in the program.
