Production Assembler

Description

Reports to: Production Control Manager

The Production Assembler is critical to keeping production running at Thermcraft. This employee will keep material and projects moving by supporting different areas of the production floor. The Production Assembler will be exposed to many types of machinery, equipment, and processes. They will have the ability to act as apprentice and/or assistant. We are willing to train the right candidate to grow within our company.

Essential Functions:

• Helps to prepare work areas, keeps the plant clean and organized.
• Works as an apprentice in several areas of production floor
• Contributes to team effort by collaborating and supporting the team on projects.
• Ability to work with general hand tools such as:
• drills, screw drivers, cutting tools and table saws 
• Tape measure, Micrometers and or calipers
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Competencies and Attributes Needed:

• High School Diploma or GED 
• Forklift experience and certification
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally with other departments

Physical Requirements:

• Sit, stand, bend, and climb ladders daily
• Lift at least 50 pounds infrequently
• Ability to wear a dust mask or breathing respirator while performing some job tasks.
