Position summary

This Fixed Assets Associate position supports in implementing financial controls over fixed assets and capital spending for Nestlé. The position gathers and interprets financial information effectively and transforms data into meaningful and concise analyses while considering a broad range of interdependent issues. It supports Divisional and Corporate management by providing timely, accurate and relevant financial information to guide management in decision making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • 0 - 1 years of experience 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required; Excel skills must be at least at an intermediate level
  • Ability and desire to develop digital solutions, with proven skills in the following areas.
    • Data awareness
    • Visualization
    • Communication
    • Business partnering

Responsibilities

  • Support to enforce the Fixed Assets policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with Nestlé Accounting Standards (NAS)
  • Support to maintain the Fixed Assets sub-ledger; perform monthly reviews of all capitalization done by the plants and/or field locations, and ensure depreciation years and assets class are in compliance with (NAS)
  • Submit and monitor requests to record Fixed Assets transactions such as capitalization, transfers, retirements, impairments, and others
  • Assist in the Fixed Asset physical inventory process in accordance with NAS; ensure that the fixed assets inventories are performed, reconciled, and are properly recorded
  • Assist in Period End Close activities, Month End Reporting, Plant and Divisional Fixed Assets support and Audit support
  • All other duties as assigned
