Job Reports To: Manager, Business Strategy & Intelligence
Status: Exempt

Position Overview:
The Data Analyst will be a key contributor in the overall business supporting the Organization’s NHL, Arena, and Sabertooth Sports & Entertainment business units.
The Data Analyst will support the overall business reporting, analytics, and strategy planning capabilities of the Organization with a concentration in increasing efficiencies in the areas of ticket sales, corporate partnerships, premium sales, marketing, and arena bookings by directly managing our reporting portfolio, supporting our data warehouse, as well as contributing to our CRM System and general commercial research.
The ideal candidate possesses a comprehensive data analysis skill set along with experience in identifying trends and opportunities for business improvement; writes and manages complex SQL scripts, has experience building statistical models, constructing visualizations, and communicating their findings while working across departments to deliver actionable insights.

Job Responsibilities:
• Contribute towards maintaining and growing the reporting portfolio across the organization.
• Create efficiencies into data and reporting strategies that automate manual data processes.
• Execute reporting initiatives and data science projects, analyzing trends and building predictive models and algorithms to forecast trends and behaviors
• Leverage advanced data analytics and statistics to answer complex business questions, and provide business impacting insights and recommendations that help shape future strategic decision making.
• Record and document processes to build internal knowledge base projects
• Contribute to developing & managing automated reporting systems and dashboards to track event sales, revenue trends, ticketing performance, performance marketing and customer behavior.
• Support the building and maintenance of accurate custom data sources within data warehouse environments to achieve Organizational objectives.
• Provide and communicate data-driven recommendations to optimize ticket pricing, enhance event marketing strategies, and improve overall event profitability.
• Partner with marketing, ticketing, and sales teams to identify opportunities to maximize revenue and improve customer experience.
• Partner with finance team and other department stakeholders to identify and track key business metrics.
• Execute techniques to identify, extract and analyze data to support business decisions.
• Execute analytical approaches to transform complex data into thoughtful, actionable
insights.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree with a consistent track record of professional and personal achievement. Preferred degree concentration: business analytics, finance, information systems, statistics, or economics
• 1-2 years professional experience with a professional sports team, league, agency, promoter, or arena environment supporting data warehousing, dashboarding and reporting, CRM systems operations, and audience identification
• Ability to write queries using SQL along with a familiarity with relational databases
• Ability to construct and communicate outputs from statistical models and algorithms (ie. decision tree/random forest, logistical regression, k-NN/k-means, etc.) using R, Python, or other open-source technology
• Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with data visualization, preferably Tableau
• Understanding of ticket operations and price code nomenclature development; Ticketmaster/Archtics preferred
• Familiarity of CRM system operations a plus
• Google Analytics 4 experience a plus
• Exceptional ability to use PowerPoint, Canva or other presentation tools to effectively communicate findings a plus
• Must be able to identify problems, their sources, and their potential solutions while continuing to successfully conduct day-to-day operations without interruption.
• Effective interpersonal and communications skills, with strong critical thinking and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain and grow their knowledge base, inclusive of self-teaching
• Strong organization and prioritization skills
• As a condition of employment, qualified applicants will be subject to a background check, including criminal history check, driving history and character references.
• Possess a valid driver’s license, a suitable driving history, be insurable by Nashville Predators’ insurance carrier and have reliable transportation.

Essential Physical Functions:
• Required to work long hours on event days.
• Ability to clearly communicate with clients and coworkers.
