About the role
As a QA Associate Intern at Cibo Vita, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the food manufacturing industry while learning about quality assurance processes and practices. This internship is designed for individuals looking to build their careers in quality assurance and food safety. You will work closely with experienced professionals and support various quality assurance activities, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Work towards achieving and maintaining GFSI certification.
- Contact Vendors for QA documentation.
- Review daily, biweekly, monthly and quarterly documentation.
- Provide support for trainings.
- Reviews production and QC records to ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate on daily basis; correct deviations in a timely manner to minimize loss and avoid non-compliance products are shipped.
- Review daily, biweekly, monthly and quarterly documentation.
- Maintain the Hold and Corrective actions Logs.
- Calibrate equipment. Maintain Allergen Validation, ATP Testing, chemical and microbiological testing accuracy.
- Preforms monthly audits
- Be attentive to QA department needs such as:
- Restocking records or utensils needed for QC team.
- Retrieving information or items for QA department.
- Maintaining office files and storage shelves organized.
- Restocking office supplies, making list of items needed.
- Other duties as necessary.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Strong interest in quality assurance and food safety.
- Previous internship or experience in a food manufacturing or laboratory environment is a plus, but not required.
- Basic understanding of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and food safety regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- o Experience in GFSI and HACCP Scheme (SQF, BRC) Highly preferred.
- o GMP experience in food/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- o Working knowledge of safety rules, regulations and training.
- o Bilingual (Spanish/English) experience is preferred.
- o Good Communication skills
- o Excellent computer skills.
- o Attention to details.
- o Ability to work in a team environment.
