Overview

The server is responsible for being the face of our restaurant and responsible for our members’ experiences. Food server responsibilities include ensuring the dining room and service areas are clean, well-stocked and ready for service always, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite, professional, and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we would like to meet you. Your goal will be to provide high-quality service for our membership and their guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining room tables and service areas with special attention to sanitation and order
• Remain member focused and attend to members immediately upon arrival
• Ensure that each member is billed correctly according to their name and member number prior to the member leaving the club. Confirms members name prior to placing orders and confirms members number when delivering the bill
• Present restaurant menus and help members select food/beverages
• Take and serve orders to include running food, bussing and resetting tables
• Answer questions or make recommendations for food and beverage products
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
• Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
• Be flexible and can work in different areas of the club when needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Previous serving or restaurant experience preferred
• People Person / Outgoing; Positive can-do personality
• Flexibility working weekends including Sunday, evenings, and holiday(s) a must
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Predictable and reliable attendance is required
• Ability to be on feet for up to 100% of the prescribed shift
• Ability to lift fifty pounds, able to stand, bend, stoop, twist and turn for prolonged periods of time.
• The position will require working inside and outside various times of the year
