Production Supervisor – Electronics – 1st Shift

About the role
Job Summary
This position will supervise all aspects of 1st Shift production for the Electronics Production Department. This includes operations analysis, personnel supervision, equipment operation, and quality monitoring. This position, working alongside administrative groups, will lead the production to achieve established targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, oversee, and coordinate all aspects of production.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance and take actions to optimize machine performance for efficient production with appropriate staff.
- Work with the Technical Team and Planning to ensure preventative maintenance programs on all machinery are executed in a timely manner.
- Fully understand quality standards, control quality revisions and non-conformances.
- Support Lean and Operational Excellence initiatives and strive for continuous improvement including 5S.
- Collaborate with the R&D and Solution Center group to coordinate new product introductions and help ensure timely completion of sample requests.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering to complete machine qualification testing, documentation for new equipment, and develop new operational procedures, implement fixtures, machines, and processes to facilitate efficient production.
- Perform annual performance reviews for direct reports. Identify goals for everyone for them to perform their job functions effectively.
- Lead or assist with product transfers to the appropriate determined location, such as Harrisburg, other Phoenix global sites, and outside suppliers as needed to provide the highest long-term return for the company.
- Coordinate training and proper implementation of new operational procedures.
- Assure all direct personnel are hired, trained, and aligned to meet delivery, quality, and efficiency performance targets.
- Assure the manufacturing area is operated in a safe, clean, orderly, and professional manner and appearance.
- Manage, coach, and direct activities of Production Leads, Operators, Assemblers, and other individuals reporting to this position.
- Track, document, and coordinate performance goals and objectives within all production areas.
- Develop plans to meet forecasted levels. Work to create an adaptable and flexible workforce that can pivot to changes in customer ordering patterns.
- Support the Phoenix culture. Create a team atmosphere and accountability with each other for achieving goals.
- Review and approve timecards for reporting employees.
- Orders general manufacturing supplies as required.
- Focus on increasing productivity in all activities.
- Follow necessary PPE requirements, appropriate ISO specifications and company procedures.

Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology with 3 - 5 years supervisory experience; or 7 (+) years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong computer knowledge, and efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others, by coaching, leading, mentoring, and directing others in a production environment.
- Ability to read and comprehend English written assembly prints.
- General knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- General knowledge of production order planning.
- Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude toward all aspects of work.
- Remain adaptable, embrace change, and mentor direct reports through change processes.

Essential Job Functions
- Able to use computer for two hours at a time without break.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Able to use a pallet jack with 300 pounds.
