At Columbia Place Assisted Living & Memory Care, our team is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and compassionate home for residents. We’re seeking a Medication Technician (Med Tech) who is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent care. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting resident health and well-being by ensuring medications are administered accurately and respectfully.
What You’ll Do
Safely prepare, administer, and document medications in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
Verify resident identity before administering medications and accurately document any refusals, reactions, or errors.
Assist with vital signs monitoring and promptly report changes or concerns to nursing staff.
Maintain accurate records, forms, and reports related to medication administration.
Follow all safety, labeling, and documentation procedures for medications, including discontinued or transferred prescriptions.
Build positive, professional relationships with residents, families, nurses, physicians, and pharmacists.
Participate in ongoing training and quality assurance programs to support resident care.
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year experience as a medication tech in an assisted living community
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow policies and procedures.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative care team.
Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs, and to sit, stand, and walk throughout the shift.
