Medical Assistant/Practice Coordinator

DISC Sport & Spine Center is seeking a motivated, organized and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to assist one of our well-known spine surgeons. This is a unique opportunity that would be a dual role, providing executive level support while also assisting and supporting his clinical practice. This is a full-time position that will be located out of our Newport Beach location.

In this role, you will:

• Oversee all general office operations
• Manage office calendar, answer emails and phone calls
• Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and external medical facilities.
• Coordinate travel and logistics for business trips; including booking travel, preparing itineraries and completing expense reports
• Act as a liaison between surgeon and staff
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including input into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Assist with rooming patients while in clinic
• Schedule patients for appointments and follow ups
• Assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Ability to multitask, work independently and a possess a strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Google Drive
• Healthcare experience preferred

Compensation: $68,640 - $75,000/year
