Job Description
NBCUniversal News Group is looking for someone entrenched in the type of journalism that is recognized and acknowledged across the media industry. This is a role responsible for shepherding and executing awards submissions across NBCUniversal News Group. This is someone who is passionate about all the brands of NBC News, CNBC, MSNBC and Telemundo News; a nimble communicator who can speak the language of engaged content and awards processes.
Here’s what you’ll do: Leverage some of the most influential news brands in the world to develop awards applications from start to finish. This role will support the shared goal of identifying award winning work and ensuring recognition across the News Division.

Responsibilities:
- Help create and support editorial teams with the development of awards submissions.
- Establish strong relationships with industry award organizations.
- Communicate with editorial staff on awards timelines and process.
- Write and edit content for submissions.
- Produce and edit tape packages across linear and digital platforms.
Desired Characteristics/Requirements:
- Understanding of production functions of shows and platforms to produce award submissions.
- Deep knowledge of all brands and platforms of NBCUniversal News Groups.
- Established relationships with award organizations.
- Exceptional organization skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with strong editing, writing and social skills.

Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in a newsroom.
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or other discipline emphasizing storytelling or multimedia creation.
- Deep understanding of the awards process and the opportunities for recognition.
- Self-starter who can build relationships both internally and externally.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
