Sr. Manager - Global Cyber Security

About the role

TekniPlex is seeking an accomplished Senior Manager of Global Cybersecurity to lead its enterprise-wide security strategy and execution. This role will be accountable for defining and sustaining the vision, governance, architecture, and executing on a multi-year roadmap required to safeguard TekniPlex’s digital assets, intellectual property, and critical business operations.

 

As a key member of the IT leadership team, the candidate will lead a dedicated team of cybersecurity professionals while also influencing and orchestrating cyber efforts the organization. The candidate will drive proactive risk management, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion a culture of security awareness across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic acumen and hands-on expertise to elevate TekniPlex’s global cybersecurity posture in alignment with business priorities.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The Cybersecurity manager will perform the following responsibilities.

 

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive long-term information security strategy and roadmap to safeguard TekniPlex’s global information assets.
  • Function as the enterprise-wide champion for information security, driving a culture of security awareness and accountability.
  • Lead due diligence and post-integration/divestiture security activities for all mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Oversee cyber security portfolio of applications and lead evaluation, selection, and implementation of new cyber solutions.
  • Partner with business, infrastructure, and application teams to align technology initiatives with security policies and standards.
  • Ability to translate cyber risk into business impact for Business and Plant leadership.

Governance and Compliance

  • Chair the information security steering committee to align priorities and ensure executive visibility.
  • Ensure the information security program complies with all relevant laws and regulations (e.g.: ISO 27001, NIST, PCI)
  • Maintain security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines and ensure they are updated at least annually.
  • Lead the creation and execution of vendor and third party risk management processes.

Operations and Risk Management

 

  • Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging threats, advising stakeholders of appropriate actions.
  • Identify, evaluate, and report information security risks, practices and projects to executive committee and Board of Directors
  • Function as the champion for the enterprise information security program and foster a security-aware culture.
  • Oversee Incident response planning coordination and communication activities.
  • Manage vulnerability assessments, intrusion detection, cyber soc, audits and timely remediation.
  • Maintain Disaster recovery plans across plants and ensure operational resilience.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of cybersecurity configurations, operations, and change management.

People Leadership

 

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high performing team of information security professionals.
  • Provide technical support and targeted training to internal teams to strengthen security capability.
  • Develop, mentor, and manage a high performing staff of information security professionals.
  • Lead the development of up-to-date information security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines, and oversee their approval, dissemination, and maintenance.
  • Ensure that the security management program is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Oversee the evaluation, selection and implementation of information security solutions that are innovative, cost-effective, and minimally disruptive.
  • Demonstrate customer service attitude and work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a global environment and across time zones.

Other

  • Travel required as needed to plant sites. Minimum 25%
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of cybersecurity experience in a global environment.
  • Tier-1 Professional certification, such as a CISSP, CISM or CISA are required.
  • Demonstrated leadership in deploying and managing modern cybersecurity platforms including EDR, SIEM, SOAR, IAM, DLP, SASE/Zero Trust.
