Licensed Practical Nurse - Full-Time Evening/Weekend

Join an energetic, patient-focused team! UVA Imaging is growing and seeking an experienced LPN for a Flexible Full-time Evening/weekend position at our outpatient imaging center located in Charlottesville, Virginia. We are seeking skilled and genuine care givers who are committed to positively contributing to the patient’s overall experience which we consistently rank in the National Top Ten percentile.  

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor, Registered Nurse, or Licensed Independent Practitioner, the LPN:

• Is responsible for providing nursing care as directed by physicians and registered nurses.
• Ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 1 year in a clinical setting

EDUCATION:

• Must be a graduate of an approved LPN program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to work independently and multitask under the direction of a RN or licensed independent practitioner.
• Ability to manage medical emergencies and/or contrast reactions under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner.
• Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
