Overview

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant 

Location: HealthWorks in Morgantown, WV

Schedule: Full Time Monday through Thursday or Friday with two days treating until 6:30PM. 

 

Our HealthWorks Morgantown, outpatient orthopedic center is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA). Ideal candidate will treat a mixed caseload of orthopedic and pelvic health. Former pelvic experience preferred but wiling to train a PTA interested in a pelvic health. We welcome experienced PTAs and new graduates alike who are passionate about orthopedics/pelvic health. 

Compensation: Starting at $22+/hr plus up to $2500 sign on bonus. Hourly rate calculated by experience.

Minimum Qualification: Associates degree from accredited school for physical therapist assistants. You must have your West Virginia PTA license to begin. We are able to interview clinicians in process of receiving WV PTA license.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
  • Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
  • Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

  • A valid state license (where applicable), registration or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant upon graduation from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE.
  • State license and/or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice.
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
