Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Administrative Assistant 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in support of the SDS Program. This position will be located in Roy, UT.

What You’ll Get to Do: 

The successful candidate will be a vital member of the team and perform in an administrative leadership role. The Administrative Assistant will be performing normal office functions including, but not limited to: 

  • Ability to protect and maintain confidentiality.

  • Providing support to multiple directors, including scheduling internal and external meetings.

  • Coordinating calendars, travel arrangements, expense reports and all forms of correspondence.

  • Receiving, referring or answering emails.

  • Prepare, proofread, and distribute organizational announcements.

  • Facilitating presentations in directors’ meetings.

  • Maintaining various forms, files, folders, access lists.

  • Arranging meetings and conferences.

  • Facilitating program meetings (all hands, lunch and learns, and customer visits). 

  • Maintaining supplies.  

  • Receiving, referring, or answering mail. 

  • Office seating coordination with facilities.

  • Recording and distribution of meeting minutes.

  • Communicating with executive, administrative and management personnel to gather or convey relevant information.

  • Answering questions related to office operations, established policies, procedures, and procedures.

  • Completing requirements in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment. 

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher and a minimum of 6+ years of experience providing Administrative or Executive support. 

  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance. 

  • Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). 

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision. 

  • Demonstrated outstanding verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills. 

  • Ability to be an exceptional team player, interface well at all levels in the organization. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • AA or bachelor’s degree and/or professional certification centric to administrative discipline. 

  • US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years. 

  • Proficiency in business and travel expense system Concur (or similar) with complex, frequently changing travel. 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple administrative projects and initiatives. 

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to be collaborative, proactive, self-motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented, and assertive as necessary. 

  • Able to execute projects and tasks independently.
