Job Description

Experian Partner Services is responsible for providing modern digital experiences, services, with robust security to serve the customers of our partners. We are in a state of constant improvement from tools, features, and processes.

The Principal Solutions Architect role is a very senior role which requires technical depth as well as senior leadership presence to influence and drive EPS’s strategic direction while solving partner needs.

Scope: This role will be responsible for developing and executing both client driven and product driven programs from concept to fruition.

Influence: They will partner with multiple stakeholders including technology and business executives, partners/clients, Architects, Application developers, Information Security, program managers, and compliance teams. They should be able to work across Experian business units to align with company driven strategies.

They should have a track record of delivering highly matrixed programs as a key stakeholder operating through influence. This role requires an established leader who will demonstrate consistent effectiveness across multiple programs.

As a change and thought leader, the role will be key to driving and influencing stakeholders to adopt an innovative and modernization mindset through setting architectural guidance and communication.

Technical Skills: The successful candidate in this role will be a seasoned Architect with cross domain skills in SaaS/publicly facing APIs, Event driven architectures, modern web and mobile technology, data and analytics, and integration approaches. They will need sufficient understanding of Cloud, Infrastructure, and Security domains.

Core Responsibilities:

• Understand client and product management visions translating them into viable software solutions.
• Understand the intersection between software components and organizational structure. Heat map across Experian delivery teams.
• Able to partner closely with program management on program design and execution leveraging an understanding of which teams need to produce what and in what sequence to successfully deliver a solution.
• Able to partner closely with product management to break down requirements and communicate requirements to systems and teams needed to deliver the larger solution.
• Leveraging leadership presence, work through influence. Know how to be a guest in other teams’ systems, deferring to their architectural preferences, offering perspective, and effectively communicating what teams need to produce to fulfil the solution.
• Able to specify non-functional requirements in the areas system performance, availability, and security.
• Engage directly with clients to internalize their needs and the needs of their customers. Be able to effectively communicate with those clients that you not only empathize and understand their needs, but effectively communicate the solution to meet their needs.
• Support pre-sales activities guiding high level discussions about possible solutions and solutions timelines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in senior enterprise architecture or senior engineering leadership roles.
• 10+ years producing highly available and performant systems at scale.
• 3+ years in senior architecture or engineering leadership roles.
• 3+ years’ experience working in public cloud, leveraging the cloud and CI/CD concepts to iteratively delivery software solutions daily/on demand.
• Experience leading system design and engineering projects.
• Demonstrated technical program leadership skills in highly matrixed roles.
• Strong planning and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of Agile and Lean software delivery concepts.
• M & A technology integration and assessment experience desirable.
