Essential Skills/Responsibilities:

• Install and troubleshoot Industrial Electrical Equipment, including: wiring, motors, breakers, disconnects, start/stop, interlocks, lighting and other industrial applications.  Will require installation of conduit, conduit supports, junction boxes and other normal industrial installations.
• Install and troubleshoot Industrial Controls, including: pH sensors & controllers, conductivity sensors & controllers, process alarm systems (temperature, pressure, level, other), environmental monitor (SO2 Analyzer) and other normal industrial controls.
• Read and work from electrical / instrumentation prints, layout and install new electrical / instrumentation services
• Calibration of sensors, controllers, monitors, indicators, recording devices and other industrial instrumentation including but not limited to 120V & 24V discrete, 4-20mA, and PLC controls.
• Regular sampling of process instrumentation
• Interface with low to medium voltage equipment for troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled on electrical equipment and instrumentation.
• Maintain records for installations, calibrations, preventive maintenance, equipment history, repair history, other.
• Maintain spare parts and a spare parts inventory.
• Aid in the selection of replacement or new equipment & instrumentation.
• Help with maintenance projects during shutdowns and turnarounds
• Perform housekeeping, sweeping, cleaning, and painting as necessary to maintain proper work area.
• Promote a safe workplace and follow good safety practices in all above duties.
• The ideal candidate will be a licensed or certified electrician from a recognized program.
• Complete or assist in completing Life Critical Permits
• Wear appropriate PPE for task at hand and conduct responsibilities in a safe manner
• Regularly operate elevated mobile elevated work platforms

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will be a licensed or certified electrician from a recognized program.
• The candidate should have experience working as an electrician in an industrial setting.
• The candidate should have experience with instrumentation and controls.
• Previous experience with working in a chemical plant is preferred.
• Previous Experience in the handling of hazardous materials, lock out tag out, PPE, confined space is preferred.

• Efficiency in climbing stairs repeated and capacity to work under extreme hot/cold conditions or near moving equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Physically able to handle the challenges of the work floor (operate a forklift, climbing stairs, able to wear respirator, etc.)
• Ability to work effectively with competing priorities
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter able to work alone and in groups
• Good time management skills and work ethic
• Be available for emergency work and overtime
