DaVita’s in-house legal team is known as the “Justice League of DaVita,” or “JLD.” The JLD is comprised of over 250 attorneys, paralegals, and professionals in countries around the globe. The JLD values analytical rigor, commitment to professional development, and a passion for excellence.
This Paralegal I position is within the “Ops Force” lane of the JLD which is comprised of attorneys, paralegals, and legal professionals. This Paralegal I will primarily support the Ops Force lane in its support of clinic operations and managing special projects within the lane. This Paralegal I will also work collaboratively with other legal and business teams.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- drafting various healthcare agreements which may include Medical Director Agreements and related agreements;
- drafting various correspondence
- participating in agreement review process and maintaining spreadsheets to track progress;
- supporting administrative reporting requirements of the Ops Force team;
- working directly with field support to obtain critical information for drafting agreements;
- other duties and responsibilities as assigned; and
- supporting other team members on special projects as needed
- establishing a collaborative working relationship with members of the Ops Force team, the broader legal team, and business clients
- developing and executing various special assignments
- participating in process improvements and establishment of best demonstrated practices
- attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed or required
- know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures
- consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of this position
- being an enthusiastic participant in the life of the JLD and JLD committees
* This role is for a hybrid work schedule, with 2-3 days per week in office at DaVita’s business office located in Denver, Colorado OR Nashville, Tennessee*
Education & Skills:
- Associate’s Degree required
- Paralegal Certificate (ABA-accredited program preferred)
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills and a high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
