Job Summary
The Superintendent - Sanitation Fleet Services provides high level management and oversight for Sanitation’s solid waste collection fleet. Manages long-term acquisition planning and budgeting, develops, and implements protocols for strategic deployment of equipment based on the waste generation characteristics needs of each Sanitation district of the city.
Job Description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in a public administration, business, automotive technology, or engineering field.
EXPERIENCE:
Five (5) years of experience in fleet management that must have included in one (1) or more of the following:
Oversight and management for shop maintenance and repair operations,
Contract management, analysis, and fleet specification development
Procurement of fleet equipment/asset management.
AND
Three (3) years of supervisory/management responsibilities
EQUIVALENCY:
High school diploma or GED plus nine (9) years of the required experience including two (2) years of the stated supervisory/management experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
Associate degree in any field plus seven (7) years of the required experience including two (2) years of the stated supervisory/management experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a non-specified field plus seven (7) years of the required experience including two (2) years of the stated supervisory/management experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
Master's degree (or higher) in a specified field plus three (3) years of the required experience including two (2) years of the stated supervisory/management experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
LICENSE:
Valid driver's license and good driving record.
