The Financial Operators are responsible for issuance and management of all documents related to a transaction as well as follow up of financial documentation, vessels from loading to delivery. In Rotterdam, the financial operations for Vitol SA are handled. There are various different commodity groups (crude oil, distillates (gasoil, diesel & jet), fuel oil, gasoline, naphtha, LPG, bitumen and thermal coal) with operators reporting to the operations manager in Rotterdam.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>The Trading and Commercial Operator plays - a key role - in our company and is responsible for the operation and execution of the trading contract, taking over the operation from the trader.</p><p>Some of the responsibilities are:</p><ul><li>Completing trade transactional follow-up with counterparties</li><li>Day to day operation of contracts (issuance, checking, amendments and follow-up)</li><li>Preparing, checking, amending and follow-up of finance documents; documentary credits, bid bonds, payment undertaking, invoices etc.</li><li>Preparing vessel's nominations and documentary instructions (B/L’s, C of Origin, customs documents)</li><li>Negotiating key logistical and commercial terms</li><li>Assisting in P&L control by managing operational changes in the systems</li><li>Quantity and quality issue resolution</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Minimum 5 years of experience with physical operations or logistics (both shipping and quality issues)</li><li>Experience in commodity trading, oil, logistics and shipping are especially valued</li><li>Knowledge about GTCs, contracts, letters of credit, etc.</li><li>Trade finance knowledge is a plus</li></ul><p><strong>Personal Competences:</strong></p><ul><li>Manage and assess risks</li><li>Able to work under pressure</li><li>Good analytical skills</li><li>Work proactively and independently</li><li>Problem solving</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Vitol is an international company with offices across all continents that offers the possibility to work abroad</li><li>You will work in a flat and approachable organization</li><li>We have an excellent working atmosphere</li><li>We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package </li></ul>
