Job Description

AECOM is hiring a regional market sector Market Lead - Mission Critical in Atlanta, GA, to be responsible for driving growth in the program, project and construction management business line for our PPM East operations. This includes growing our work with existing clients and building relationships and knowledge of prospective clients with the goal of winning work with these new clients. The successful candidate will demonstrate exemplary leadership attributes and will have a history of building diverse and inclusive teams while winning new work. This position is remote.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Drive overall growth of AECOM’s program, project and construction management assignments in the PPM East region, as well LATAM
  • Work with AECOM’s global business lines, regional leadership and market sector leaders to identify and pursue new business opportunities and develop solutions to address them
  • Work independently to pursue development of new business prospects. Identify areas of high risk and proactively take action to positively impact business development outcomes
  • Lead and manage large to very large-sized business development pursuits
  • Provide the technical leadership and strategic direction for developing client relationships, proposed technical teams, client proposals and presentations, and regional growth strategies
  • Develop capture plans that include teaming relationships and strategies that will further differentiate AECOM, and help our clients’ projects be successful
  • Prepare impactful, successful client-facing proposals and presentations in a collaborative partnership with our marketing teams, and give presentations to potential clients
  • Prepare cost proposals
  • Drive innovation in program management approaches and methodology to achieve marketplace differentiation
  • Contribute to recruitment and people development strategies pertaining to program, project and construction management, including identification of talent gaps and resourcing plans
  • Propose skill development and workforce planning approaches to deliver capabilities for the future
  • Lead selected pursuits through client relationship development and/or through development of strategy and participation in pursuit activities
  • Participate in industry associations and serve as a company role-model in business and community organizations
  • Develop relationships with industry counterparts in other consulting organizations

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in construction management, engineering, architecture or highly relevant construction-related technical discipline + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • U.S. Citizenship required, due to the nature of the work
  • Experience in business development winning new work in the PPM vertical space
  •  5+ years of experience developing responses to public requests for proposals, competitive interviews, and presenting to prospective clients

Preferred Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in program management, project management, construction management, engineering and/or architecture
  • 5+ years in a leadership capacity
  • CCM certification from CMAA, or PMI PgMP certification, or PE license preferred
