Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or a related field
- CPA required
- Excellent Excel skills
- Experience in general accounting procedures
- Experience with federal, state and local grant funding regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills (NetSuite or similar ERP experience)
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
- Experience in Behavioral Health/Non-for-Profit sector
- Ability to work within a team

Position Purpose:
Preparing monthly and quarterly grant and utilization reports, annual cost reports, and audit schedules. Knowledge of federal and state funding compliance regulations is required. Provide services in an ethical, legal, and moral manner, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Work hours prescribed by the Director and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
- Preparation of Monthly Financial Statements.
- Familiarity with Accounting/Financial Software
- Preparation of Journal Entries in accordance with GAAP, including accrual journal entries.
- Banking and Cash familiarity, including monthly reconciliations
- Utilization reporting, including monthly grant utilization reports and reconciling reports to revenue accounts
- Review and prepare invoices, including monthly grant invoicing
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for funders
- Prepare utilization reports for management
- Review program financials for appropriate revenue recognition
- Complete audit schedules as requested
- Prepare year-end cost reports
- Federal Funding compliance
- Assist with the annual budgeting process, and prepare schedules as needed
- Provide financial feedback to clinical staff.
- Participate in team projects, including leading projects.
- Serve as a member of the Finance team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
- Provide backup support to Controller, and Staff Accountants as needed.
- Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Ethics and with the framework of the law.
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
- Serve as a role model for other staff, patients, and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance
Schedule: 8-hour shifts
- Shift: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
- Monday through Friday - the possibility of a hybrid schedule after the initial training period
Work Location: Rosecrance Health Network – Rockford, Champaign, Chicago, IL or Sioux City, IA
