STOREROOM SUPERVISOR

Newport, DE

Day Shift

 

The Storeroom Supervisor manages the Shipping & Receiving activities directly, as necessary, to accomplish objectives in the most safe and economical manner.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Support and adhere to the principles of SunCare by protecting the environment, health, safety and security of our employees, contractors, carriers, distributors, visitors, customers and neighbors.
• Knowledgeable of and follow all Environmental, Health and Safety practices including but not limited to: manage waste movements according to satellite and/or 90-day accumulation requirements, inspect air contaminant sources and institute corrective action for out-of-spec conditions, prevent releases into the sewer and/or stormwater systems by following BMPs (best management practices), activate SUN emergency response procedures in case of spills or other emergencies.
• Comply with the requirements of the ISO9001:2105 Quality Management System.
• Assigns planned/scheduled work to storeroom personnel and cross checks on performance
• Ensure Technical Stores inventory is constantly checked through cycle counting and ensure sufficient stock is available to avoid stock outs and equipment downtime.
• Coordinating 3rd party Site security operation.
• Prepare Community Pallet and administer the sites web site
• Managing Supplier and Service requisitions for the site’s technical operations
• Shipping off site to DOT requirements of product samples and non-hazardous materials.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained and 5S compliance.
• Provide an example of leadership that is consistent with the common objectives and values throughout the organization.
• Establish and maintain a communication system that ensures direct reports are aware of job requirements, ensures each team member knows what is required from others and ensure others know what is expected of them.
• Maintain open and frequent communications with the customers of Storeroom to insure they are satisfied with the service.
• Conduct ongoing proficiency training to improve skills and to keep current with technology.

 Education & Experience:

 

• High School Diploma
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and instrument equipment and systems.
• Working knowledge of Chemical Plant equipment
