Patient Care Technician - CTU2 - NIGHT SHIFT

Position Highlights:

·       Sign on bonus: YES

Qualified Candidates hired full-time for select units at both our Edward and Elmhurst hospitals will receive a $5,000 bonus paid in two installments ($2,500 at 3 months and $2,500 at one year).

Qualifications For Bonus: Experienced Patient Care Techs (1+ year direct patient care exp)

·       Location: Edward Hospital  

·       Full Time/Part Time: Full Time 

·       Hours:  NIGHT SHIFT (7-7) Rotating Holidays/Weekends

·       Required Travel: N/A

What you will need:

·       Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation.

·       Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.

·       Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.

·       Required to attend in depth orientation regarding patient care skill tasks.

License/Certification Required:

·       Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross

General Summary:

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.
