Material Handler, 1st Shift - Spartan Mowers

The Material Handler will perform a combination of task including but not limited to receiving and taking parts to the line.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: 

• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
• Report production in ERP system for all manufacturing departments before transferring material to next process
• Transfer material in ERP system via mobile scanners.
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage
• Other duties as assigned by management

​What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: 

• High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months equivalent experience
• Skill in lifting heavy packages and objects.
• Skill in operating forklift or other materials handling equipment.
• Skill in both verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of safety practices.
• Must be capable of cross-training in various areas
• Team player with organizational skills
• Previous experience in inventory systems and tracking is preferred
