About You: 
Are you a strategic procurement professional passionate about innovation in the feed additives industry? Nutreco is seeking a Global Procurement Lead Innovations (GPLI) to represent Procurement in key projects and drive global innovation. In this role, you will be integral in negotiating and managing comprehensive agreements, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams on industry-leading projects. Your responsibility extends to negotiating and overseeing efficient production processes through toll and contract manufacturing agreements and ensuring competitive pricing and supply through effective supplier relationships.
 
Joining our team also means being the procurement lead for innovation projects driven by our Nutreco Exploration (NutEx) group for sourcing specialty raw materials or contracting third party production. As a member of the Nutreco Global Procurement team, you will report to the Global Category Manager, Feed Additives and Animal Health Products initially, and later to the Procurement Director, Macro Ingredients and Indirects.

Responsibilities:

• Explore and secure new raw materials and innovative ingredients for diverse Feed Additives and Global Innovation development projects, ensuring alignment with our project and sustainability goals. 
• Draft and negotiate contracts, meticulously negotiating and managing production-related agreements for Feed Additives and Global Innovation projects such as Non-Disclosure Agreements, Joint Development Agreements, and Framework Agreements with suppliers of Feed Additives products. 
• Proactively reach out to new and existing suppliers to source ingredients and materials not currently in our portfolio; with a strong knowledge of the feed additives industry, key suppliers, products, and market trends. 
• Establish and optimize local production operations to meet project requirements efficiently. 
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are managed effectively.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Strategic Sourcing; within the Feed, Food, Pharma or Chemical industry.
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit with an eye for innovation, creative problem-solving and project management skills
• Excellent negotiation and complex contracting skills with a solid understanding of the legal aspects of contracting.
• Possess a deep understanding of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier management.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Willing to travel 20% to 30% of the time.
