We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Program Chief Engineer to join our Military and Rotorcraft Value Stream within the Environmental and Airframe Control Systems (EACS) group. In this key leadership role, you will take on overall technical responsibility for multiple development programs or aircraft platforms, partnering closely with the Value Stream Lead (VSL) and the Program Management Team (PMT) to execute development projects and ensure the success of our products and platforms.

This role is hybrid, requiring 3-4 days onsite each week at our Windsor Locks location.

What You Will Do

  • Lead Collins engineering teams, overseeing program execution and providing technical leadership.

  • Interface with internal and external customers, ensuring clear communication and support throughout the program lifecycle.

  • Drive program execution, managing risk, and collaborating with all PMT disciplines for seamless operations.

  • Oversee internal and customer reporting, risk management, and budget & schedule management.

  • Foster strong team dynamics, accountability, and execution, while working independently to drive results.

  • Travel locally, approximately 10%, to supplier or customer sites

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience 

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or a related Engineering field.

  • Experience with aircraft Environmental Control Systems, Weapons Management Systems, and Flight Control Systems.

  • Proven experience in program management, technical leadership, and customer interface within engineering environments.

  • Strong organizational and analytical capabilities for managing complex projects.

  • Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams across various engineering disciplines.

  • Experience in driving large-scale program execution from inception to completion.

  • Strong proficiency with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), MS Project, and other Project Engineering Tools.
