R&D Tech Solutions & Data Analytics Project Manager

Purpose

Accountable for ensuring clear and continuous update on plans and execution of digital activities across R&D and responsible for delivering appropriate project management support to R&D Digital Coordination Team as well as specific prioritized R&D digital activities

Supports R&D Digital Coordination Team in the execution of R&D Digital Long Term Strategy

Supports the coordination of other PPM units on PPM system applications management and evolution
 

Main Responsibilities

•    In charge of project management activities supporting R&D Digital Coordination Team and digital activities across R&D according to need, ensuring alignment on project management  best practices in Chiesi R&D as set by PMP team 
•    Ensures that the Head of R&D and PPM digital strategy & execution support is in full control of R&D digital initiatives timelines, spending and effort and that relevant plans are met on time, quality and budget
•    Ensures project management support to the implementation of prioritized R&D digital solutions in line with the R&D digital transformation roadmap
•    Helps in identifying and cascading new tools and processes that will enable speed, agility and adoption of new technical insights, including embedding Data Analytics and generative AI in R&D and PPM operational processes
•    Assists and supports efforts in digital innovation development capabilities and optimizes business process through technical solutions where appropriate
•    Supports all PPM departments on PPM system applications management and evolution
•    Consolidates the digital network with internal experts and partners (GICT, Legal, R&D Procurement, BD, Transformation Office, COIC, R&D functions)
•    Supports the achievement of common project goals through effective communication across functions and relevant stakeholders
•    Promotes business agility and the development of lean processes and tools to ensure that projects are executed effectively and efficiently following digital project governance processes

Experience Required

•    2+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech/medtech industry experience and a minimum of 5+ years in project management supporting R&D/development Of tech solutions or relevant similar experience

Education

•    Bachelor’s degree in Scientific Area relevant for Pharma R&D. Advanced degree preferred, MS or MBA

Languages

English fluent

Technical Skills

•    Extensive knowledge of pharma research and development and thorough understanding of the tasks required across different stages of drug development
•    A strong understanding of the people, processes and infrastructure involved across the pharmaceutical drug development and new product development lifecycle, and experience in oversight and deployment of new digital processes and tools
•    Relevant experience in project management in new product development area

•    Experience with digital transformation projects a significant plus

•    PMI PMP or equivalent qualification as a significant plus
