Salary

£36.2k basic - 42.2k with some overtime

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a ​Fitter  to join our Engineering Team at our ​Walkergate Depot in ​Newcastle upon Tyne. 

At Stagecoach North East we operate over 400 vehicles, which connect our passengers across Tyne and Wear and Teesside with our engineering teams playing a fundamental role in ensuring our vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. Our site at Walkergate  is purpose-built and operates 118 buses and coaches from there.

The successful candidate will play a key role within our team to ensure our vehicles are maintained and repaired to our high standards, so they remain roadworthy and reliable for our customers at all times.

This is a shift-based role, with shifts any 5 days over 7, which will be discussed at interview.

A PCV licence is preferred but not essential as training will be provided as required.

NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject is essential. 

Salary: Potential to earn £36.2k basic - £42.2k  per year with some overtime working.
