Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern Software Systems Engineer. In this role, you will develop, deliver, and operate affordable engineering and sustainment solutions for commercial and military users across the globe. The successful candidate will have experience/exposure to one of these programming languages: C, C++, Java, or Python.

Must be a US Citizen. This position will require the ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Basic Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelors Degree Program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or Systems Engineering. Related disciplines will also be considered.
• Experience/exposure to one of these programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python
• Must be a US Citizen. This position will require the ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Ability to work remotely

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
