Sr System Industrialization Engineer
ASMLAbout the role
Introduction to the job
The mission of System Industrialization Engineer is to design, maintain and optimize production process and provide IE deliverables so as to introduce new product to internal customers (Factory & CS). Being an expert in SEM, you will function as the key interface of San Jose D&E teams to others, take the challenge of solving complex problems in a creative way and adapt to changed output requirements. As the result, this position needs to deeply involved in early design phase, to a limited extent manage the reliability, availability, manufacturability and serviceability and drive for continuous improvement.
Role and responsibilities
- Response for new product introduction to local customer site, clear communication to technical team, D&E and local CS and actively follow up and feedback on results. Effective, constructive cooperation in multidisciplinary team, take decisions at function cluster level on time and able to interface, motivate and convince without using formal authority.
- Work closely with electron-optics module owners, to be responsible for reviewing design of the most advanced metrology/inspection electron beam system, creates Industrialization budgets and definitions for new tools and gives input for roadmap.
- Steers roadmap at competence level, Participate in early design phase of product circle, work closely with designer to ensure all design specs are achieved and manufacturable. Catch failure and weak points during design phase and be able to execute failure troubleshooting, perform analysis and set up diagnostic frame work in a systematic way to improve yield at manufacturing/uptime at service.
- Design build-up/prepack/install sequence to optimize cycle time and maximize performance, take up the ownership, influence your stakeholders via explaining/presenting technical matters and validate all those sequence/CT/performance data on proto systems.
- Set up availability matrix for new products and/or submodules you owned. Identify dependency among modules/sub-systems and define all needed service actions on a machine which can cause potential down time. Apply this matrix make prediction for design spec of sub systems, find out mismatches between design targets and actual system results for improvements and determine the size of CS workforce.
- Other duties as assigned and job description subject to change at any time
