How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) primary function is the installation and servicing of Turbo’s equipment at its Customer’s sites. Assignments can be either domestic or internationally, depending on the plant location.

As a customer facing role, it’s a key responsibility for the FSE to ensure customer satisfaction through service excellence. The FSE will also work closely with the rest of the Aftermarket Team and Engineers, to help expedite resolutions of service issues and ensure high-quality service is delivered to customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service repair needs on designated equipment

  • Maintaining daily communication with Customers Team directly to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.

  • Sharing knowledge and coaching other members of Air Liquide Aftermarket team on an on-going basis

  • Support the business to achieve product serviceability and reliability, quality trend analysis, productivity program input and execution, new program implementation and new product introduction support

  • Leading Commissioning activities within assigned area, ensuring safety and quality measures are taken

  • Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining field service logs and internal service records in a timely manner, ordering repair parts and managing cycle times

  • Providing basic/refresher application training of staff on designated equipment

  • Continually building expertise by staying abreast of R&D and new product introductions and other relevant equipment enhancements

  • Providing assistance to the Assembly dept. at Company manufacturing location as needed

Quality & EHS Specific Goals:

  • Aware of and comply with the Air Liquide Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

  • Meet Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements. 

  • Identify and report any personal quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization. 

  • Ensure timely completion of Site reports

  • Identify and report any unsafe workplace conditions or unsafe acts to the EHS Organization. 

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible

  • Maintain tools and test equipment properly and ensure they are calibrated

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology required 

  • Associates Degree with 2 years of experience servicing Mechanical equipment or Military training on Mechanical equipment

  • High School Diploma/GED and 6 or more years of experience servicing Mechanical equipment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy-to-understand manner.

  • Previous experience developing and maintaining good customer relations in a field environment is preferred.
