About Salesforce

We’re Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too — driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good – you’ve come to the right place.

At Salesforce, Technical Program Managers (TPMs) are pivotal in steering large-scale, cross-functional initiatives. As the Director TPM for Networking, you'll spearhead the strategic evolution of our network infrastructure, encompassing Hyperforce, public cloud, networking and connectivity services, security, and scalability. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role where you'll partner with senior leadership to translate vision into reality, driving cross-functional planning and execution.

You'll be the champion for executing and delivering networking priorities, ensuring alignment across Salesforce. We're looking for a proven TPM, a passionate networking expert, a proactive problem solver, and a change agent who thrives on tackling complex challenges. Your expertise in enterprise systems, public cloud services, and network security will be essential in delivering tangible business value. If you have a proven track record of leading large, complex programs and are eager to shape the future of Salesforce's infrastructure, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Networking portfolio and programs to maximize business and customer value through efficient and effective product delivery.
  • Strategically align stakeholders on networking portfolio vision, business goals, and strategy, defining program scope and securing cross-functional commitment.
  • Cultivate and leverage executive partnerships to drive strategic program objectives and optimize delivery for measurable success.
  • Conduct decisive program reviews to facilitate key decisions, eliminate roadblocks, and resolve issues, ensuring on-time goal attainment.
  • Transform business objectives into actionable execution strategies, lead execution through collaborative and agile leadership.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to architect and implement technical solutions, accelerating customer value delivery.
  • Establish a dynamic agile environment fostering autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Orchestrate and resolve complex program dependencies across diverse partners, functions, and divisions.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate program risks, ensuring timely achievement of business objectives.
  • Deliver transparent program status reporting, providing actionable insights on decisions, dependencies, risks, and metrics.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and learning, empowering teams to generate creative solutions.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development, actively seeking and incorporating constructive feedback.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience in technical leadership. Advanced management degrees preferred.
  • 10+ years of recent experience leading large-scale, complex infrastructure programs with proven impactful business outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain strong credibility and rapport with senior executives, technical experts, and cross-functional team members.
  • Demonstrate exceptional executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a history of detailed, hands-on technical work.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of technical subjects relevant to the program.
  • Deeply understand the software development lifecycle and apply agile methodologies effectively in dynamic environments.
  • Utilize professional, repeatable methodologies for program initiation, work breakdown, scheduling, reporting, risk, and change management.
  • Excel in organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills within a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
  • Effectively collaborate across company functions and time zones, showcasing strong time management, analytical, and planning skills.
